Remember Allyson Lipkin, aka DD Dagger? We’ve collaborated in the past: to date have produced four excellent, original art projects with a great turnout by the community. DD Dagger Feat Lights Out Brass, a work inspired by the theme of illusion was presented at The Parish downtown, and included an original score and a brass band backing Allyson’s band (DD Dagger), with costumes and dance by The Exchange Artists. This piece was produced for local Austin Magazine, Velvet Dust. Another collaboration for Velvet Dust was a Sound Painting Performance led by Andrea Ariel of Ariel Dance Theater featuring Exchange Artists’ actors and dancers and music by DD Dagger. DD Dagger also joined forces with us for one of our HotNights productions at The Blackheart Bar, A Streetcar Straight to Hell, our Halloween slasher adaptation of Tennessee Williams similarly named hit. And finally, we came together again to perform a short part of Cowboy Mouth by Sam Shepherd and Patti Smith for Industry Night in July of 2014.

Now, we’ve been awarded funds from the City of Austin to create an all-new production called Sacred Space in June 2015. Stay tuned for more about the show. You won’t want to miss this!
